Trapped in Thailand by the Yellow Shirts
Suvarnabhumi Airport

These are the fearsome protestors who held 100,000+
tourists hostage in Thailand. The yellow-shirted cadres
of the PAD took Suvarnabhumi airport a day after we
arrived in Bangkok. (One day later, as we had planned at
one point, and we would have been held captive in the
airport for a couple of days.) It is not easy to clear
100,000+ tourists out of a country with no international
airport, and we are still seeing if we can get back to
the United States in the next week or so.

Update: We are all working our way out! After many long hours
on the phone with airlines, and long travels, Dan made it home
on Friday, Jen and Em on Sunday, me and Ellie on Monday (Dec 8),
and, with a little luck, Sue, Lisa, and Katie will get home
on Wednesday.
