Grand Palace

Our first morning, we taxied off from our hotel to see the Grand Palace, built for the current dynasty of Thai kings near the end of the 18th century, after the old capital at Ayutthaya was destroyed. It's a wonderful place to stroll around, with its temple guardians, stupa steeples, and the emerald buddha ("No photos, please.").
