Gloucester is a sweet little maritime town, with an almost-obscene surfeit of two-masted schooners.
I was welcomed back to Boston, after a six-month absence, with a sunset view of Marblehead and a great view overlooking the library out to the Charles River.
We rode up to Gloucester for a couple days, our annual assessment of the year just past and plans for the one ahead. I snuck out to ogle at schooners as often as I could, and joined some of the lads for an (almost) pub crawl on the middle night.
We even managed to get about 16 of us out into kayaks on the Essex River estuary -- a really nice outing.
