Venturing Out

What with lockdowns and shoulder surgery (for me) and spine surgery (for Jen), we really hadn't ventured too far from the Ranchos for a month or so. The westside beaches seemed about the right level of ambition, and it was nice to get out.
We got about as far as the southern limit of Santa Monica, where we could see that a Black Lives Matter protest was gathering steam. It would have been great to join, but we were in no condition to be arrested, so we headed home. The pile of rummaged Van's boxes is evidence of a little looting a few blocks away.
