Another interesting milestone: parents expect that their teenagers will know more about popular culture than they do, and well before them. But they're usually ahead of their little kids. Sampling Vanilla Coke for the first time tonight with take-out Thai food, we asked Em if she'd like to try it for the first time.
"I've tried it," she said, not taking her eyes of The Simpsons.
