"I frickin' love this!"

Late night, after the water show and the parades, the tired
crowds streaming for the exits, we park ourselves outside the
gift shop while the daughters make final purchases, gifts for
friends who didn't get to come. A simple holiday scene -- a tiny
1920s village at Christmas -- in
the window of Clarabelle's ice cream, and a small group of three
adults pause in front of it. Maybe parents, away from their
teenagers; maybe empty nesters there for cocktails. A man,
mid-forties, stands akimbo taking in the scene. Then, loudly
to his friends, "I frickin' love this!"
The audience at home is not quite ready for that tag line at
the end of a commercial, but we are not far off I'll bet.
