Oklahoma wasn't expected to win against Alabama. And longtime OU fan Marcie was so sure of it that she said she would jump in our pool with her clothes on if her beloved Sooners pulled it off.
So as they pulled ahead and extended their lead, the excitement was edged with a nervous anticipation: would she go ahead with it if they won?
By the time the game ended, Ray had already drunk in a fair amount of liquid courage and as the Sooners celebrated on the field, he jumped into our 58-degree water first. Now Marcie couldn't back out-- but at least she had a little help from her friends as Pam, Ellie & Emily all went in with her.
