The Back Side of the Rose Parade
Pasadena

We thought we were pretty clever, arriving at
9:30 and still finding a great view of the Rose
Parade, from the parkway on Orange Grove at Sierra
Madre, only a few yards from the parade's ending
at Victory Park. But we soon learned why the spots
were still available: we could only see the backs of
the floats, bands, 200 Imperial Storm Troopers,
and Grand Marshall George as they rolled
and marched past.
Not that it mattered to us. Emily & Ellie soon
made their way across the street to get a better
view, while Jen, Tommy and I relaxed in our folding
chairs, enjoying our mimosas under the warm
So Cal sun.
