Cycling to Marken

We rented bikes at Centraal Station ...
... and rode them on the dikes along the Markermeer sea...
... up to Marken, where we brought the ladies back in 2002.
We ate grilled herring and posed with a big wooden shoe.
Then we rode back through the countryside,
across the Ij, and into Amsterdam.
