Valentine's Weekend
Providence, Newport, Mystic
February 14-17, 2019
After work on Friday, we took the train from Back Bay Station down Providence, to spend the evening with Jeff & Jen & Arlo. They let us sleep in their pool house.
The next morning we wandered around Providence. I bought a chain bracelet from a street vendor from Majorca, and he tied it on my wrist. I think maybe we are legally married in some parts of Majorca now.
After that, we drove over to Newport, to wonder around that town in the February cold. We had good luck at a clothing shop called Fat Face out of England.
In the late light, we drove over to take a look at one of the famous robber baron mansions, The Breakers. Thought about taking a tour but Jen didn't want to spend $20 each for the opportunity to ogle close up their ill-gotten gains.
And wound up the evening down in Mystic, Connecticutt, where we enjoyed a Mystic Pizza at Mystic Pizza while watching Mystic Pizza, which is playing on an infinite loop in the dining room.
