For the second year, we held a reunion of Jen's family out at the lake house. The first was a year earlier, Daphne's Memorial Service, when 50 people came to say their goodbyes. I think we had about 30 people this year, and a good many of them stayed on the property again, in the carriage house or camped on the lawns.
Sam worked the fire for what seemed like the whole weekend. He had brought a new purchase, a two-level grill that staked over the open fire, where he cooked ribs for us. He said he had bought it at Fleet Farm. Jen asked, "What's that?" Sam: "It's like Target for men."
