While we waited for the eclipse, we visited the Clinton Presidential Library, took a sunset pontoon boat ride on the Arkansas River with Jeff & Joann and their friends, and savored lots of good Southern fare.
At the presidential library, they have binders collecting every day's agenda across Clinton's 8 years in the White House. Ellie was impressed that on the day she was born, Oct 11, 1997, they had taken the entire day off -- highly unusual! (Turns out, it was their wedding anniversary.)
