Lawn Party on the Fourth

I was lying on a blanket on the lawn, listening with fascination to an archaeologist tell me about his and his wife's company, and how they dig up old Indian villages to preserve their artifacts before developers or utilities reshape the land. Kris came over and showed me on his iPhone a little video that showed a skyrocket narrowly missing him and blowing up in a nearby BBQ -- and I bought it as real on sight. That's how I knew I was having a really good time.
