Camping on BLM Land

If you arrive late at Joshua Tree and no camp sites are available, you can drive a few miles north and pitch a tent on BLM land, where there ain't no rules at all! If you're lucky you might find a site where someone has left a fire ring and a few scraps of half burnt wood and, if you're really lucky, nothing else.
