If a Tree Falls in the Studio

Nov. 13-14, 2009

We were so excited to finally get a tall Christmas tree -- our new studio has a 13-foot ceiling! -- that we couldn't even wait until Thanksgiving to go out and cut it. We actually needed a ladder, for the first time ever, to place our angel atop our grand tree.

But we didn't realize that with an extra tall tree come extra responsibilities. In the morning, we looked out from the kitchen and saw no tree at all. It had fallen in the night -- who can say whether it made a sound?

Only a few ornaments were lost in the incident and we raised it again, tethering it to hooks in the wall.
