Visiting Emerson College

Boston, Mass.
April 25-27, 2016

After our day touring NYU, we rode up to Penn Station and caught the Acela to Boston.

On Tuesday, we wandered around the campus -- which is a group of buildings at the corner on Boston Common, and met with Marty Cook, the former sitcom writer who now leads the new BFA in Comedic Arts program. We wandered out to downtown, heading towards the North End. It was pretty cold that first day, so Ellie bought a cute knit cap in a tourist shop. We stumbled onto Primark, the discount store in the old beaux arts building where Filene's Basement was for many years.

We Ubered up to the North End and had a nice Italian dinner, then wandered a few blocks over to Paul Revere's house to have a look.

The weather turned more spring-like the next day, and we toured the campus and then took our lunch out in the Boston Public Garden. And I think that nice day and pretty park played a very small part in Ellie's decision to choose Emerson.
