Mom rescued an old board game that has sat on the shelves
of the cabin for 60 years or so, Star Reporter. Players
roll dice to drive, take a train, or fly to the scene of
a news story or disaster. You even have to roll lucky
numbers just to make a telephone call back to the newspaper
office if you want to save making the trip. It's really
a heavy dose of time travel.
As is the elf village, a simple Christmas disply of little
men made from pine cones which has been set up in my folks'
home since my earliest memory -- and, my mom says, in her
folks' home since her earliest memories before that.
