Dinner at Dino Park

Karon Beach, Phuket
Dec. 5, 2008

This was the southern tip of our trip together, a Flintstone-themed restaurant at the southern edge of Karon Beach, on the west shore of Phuket island, along the Andaman Sea. Seven of us crammed into a truck taxi (Dan had flown home), which raced along the beach rode, delivering us to this warm little jungle, complete with a baby elephant that showed up mid-meal to be fed by kids at the restaurant. As Sue said, "You know you've been in Thailand a while when an elephant strolling into your line of sight is interesting, but not unnerving."

After, we strolled along the shopping road, where a mysterious man offered to sell us -- how can this be? -- DVDs of movies in current release, like High School Musical 3 and Beverly Hills Chihuahua for only $3 each! Thailand is a magical place indeed.

Then we hailed another taxi truck, and rode home (See video below).
