When a talent scout approached us at Farmers Market, we knew there was no getting out of it. She complimented us on the daughters' good manners and asked if we'd be interested in coming out to a talent call. For Ellie, who has described in detail how she is going to faint in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in order to be discovered, it was a dream come true.
We shot some portraits with the iPhone and printed headshots at Walgreens then headed up to Century City for some shopping and the talent call, where the girls learned to slate -- say their name and age to the camera. Before, we met up with Mark who, it turns out, shares Lakers tix with the agency's owner. Small world.
That talent agents said they liked what they saw, but the commute from Santa Rosa was, well... unworkable. "Call us when you're local."
