Back to the Fires
Alexandria & Orlando

I woke in Alexandria to news that Sonoma County was on fire. We had planned to spend the coming week at Disney World, fulfilling one of Jen's bucket-list ambitions to (finally) stay at the hotel of her childhood dreams, the Grand Polynesian. But alas, with our home town surrounded by flames, and our home/pets/neighbors in danger, we chose to put it off. Jen cancelled her travel plans and instead evacuated with the pets. I continued on to Orlando to see the girls for only one evening and breakfast, and then flew back to California.
