We didn't have enough cash to throw a fancy wedding. But we did have enough, we calculated, to throw a really great honeymoon. With the help of our friends and family, we got married for a few hundred dollars at our summer cabin. Then we took the money and ran, to Europe, where I had never been and Jen only for a few days once, in Paris. Four days after our vows, we landed in London, with two thick travel guides, three-month rail passes, and a money belt full of travelers cheques. We had return tickets out of Paris three months later ... but we had no itinerary for any of the 90 days until then.
